Yeah, it’s not a river, but since its been a longtime fishing haunt for me (and it’s as beautiful as it can get) I decided to include it in this category. This was taken on a wild and chilly November morning stalking elusive Stripers.

Two of my dearest pals; We all attended Mannes College of Music together back in 1968. Fred is an amazing composer and virtuoso classical guitarist, and John is a wonderful flautist. John and I toured together as “Herrick & Handler” for ten years. Two truly wonderful and talented people!

One of my favorite Delaware East Branch spots; Aside from the gorgeous fish it holds, it’s always been one of my favorite spots to end a float at. As fish begin to rise and the spectacular sunsets fade to black, there’s always a half-hour of chaos and blind casting in the dark by sound. That usually lasted until Ben Rinker’s patience gave in, and we were summarily ordered out of the water. I love Alice’s Way.
