Margaree Salmon Leap
Deb and I fell in love with Cape Breton, and I fell in love with the Margaree. Not too big, not too small, perfect for a single-handed rod, it possesses as lovely a summer and fall run of Atlantic Salmon as you could dream of. Great people, gorgeous scenery, delicious food – truly a magical place. And all Nova Scotia salmon fishing is public – no private water.
River Itchen, Winchester, UK
Classic English chalk-stream water. What a beautiful October day this was – Deb had travelled to the UK on business and I had tagged along. Numerous lovely Browns came to the net and also my very first Grayling.
Above Shehawken,West Branch
Alex and I floated the West Branch of the Delaware with guide Ben Rinker in 2017. Towards the end of the day, we crossed under the 191 Bridge, and just above Shehawken as the sun started to set, I snapped this photo. It was my best catch of the day!
I love this shot because the bridge is right in front of us – you can barely make out the upper section obscured by the fog. (West Branch of the Delaware)
October, 2017
I snapped this shot on a chilly, late-November afternoon, fishing with David Nelson on the East Branch. It is looking upstream from the “ramp” at Cadosia.
