Floating with Ben Rinker, I took this EB beast on a Hendrickson. Nearly lost him in the heat of the battle when my fly line became badly tangled in the bottom of the boat. Ben came to the rescue, holding the front of the fly line in his teeth while he whittled the knot away. Somehow, the fish managed to stay on during the fray, hence the proud hero shot. But it’s equally Ben’s fish.
24″ on a Caddis Dry; Early in the season, floating down from Balls Eddy, we spotted this fish rising along the right bank. There was nothing to indicate his size – just another WB brown slurping Caddis flies. The cast was easy, and after a good fight, he was in the net.
